Noxen Shadowfang

8000Hz Gaming Mouse — 0.125 ms Input Latency

An 8000Hz gaming mouse reports its position eight times more often than a standard 1000Hz mouse. That's 0.125 ms between updates instead of 1 ms — a real, measurable change on a 240Hz+ display. Noxen Shadowfang supports 1K, 4K and 8K polling out of the box.

  • 1K, 4K and 8K polling supported
  • Wireless 8000Hz over 2.4GHz
  • 0.125 ms input interval
  • PAW3950 sensor
  • Optical switches
  • Tuned for 240–540Hz monitors

What is an 8K polling rate?

Polling rate is how often a mouse tells your PC where it is. 1000Hz = once per millisecond. 8000Hz = eight times per millisecond. The higher the polling rate, the smoother the cursor path between frames and the smaller the gap between a click and an action firing in-game.

Difference between 1K, 4K and 8K polling

1K is the baseline every esports pro grew up on — totally fine, but with up to 1 ms of input lag. 4K cuts that to 0.25 ms, the sweet spot on a 240–360Hz monitor and what most modern pros use. 8K reaches 0.125 ms and shines on 360Hz+ displays with a strong CPU.

Wireless 8K — without the cable

Until recently, 8000Hz meant wired. The Noxen wireless module pushes 8K over 2.4GHz without latency spikes, so you get the input numbers of a wired mouse with the cable freedom of wireless.

Sensor — PixArt PAW3950

The flagship optical sensor, decoded.

The PAW3950 reads surface texture cleanly past 6 m/s of hand motion, with zero smoothing and zero prediction. That means every micro-correction your hand makes lands on screen unfiltered — no acceleration, no angle snapping, no input mush.

Polling rate

1000Hz · 4000Hz · 8000Hz — what changes.

Polling rate is how often your mouse tells the PC where it is. Higher polling rate means smaller gaps between input reports and lower input latency. Noxen supports all three so you can match the rate to your monitor and CPU.

RateIntervalNotes
1000 Hz1.000 msBaseline. Safe for every CPU, every monitor.
4000 Hz0.250 msSweet spot for 240–360 Hz monitors.
8000 Hz0.125 msLowest input interval. Pair with 360 Hz+ and a strong CPU.

All Noxen wireless polling rates run over the 2.4 GHz link — no cable required.
